You will find these courses issued by a variety of vocational education and training (VET) providers and higher education institutions will be available in a variety of formats including:
- Monthly workshops

Recognition of current competency services may also be provided. Moreover, some qualifications are issued based upon Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). RPL is "the acknowledgement of the skills and knowledge a person has acquired through previous training, work or life experience, which may be used to grant status or credit in a subject or module." www.vqa.vic.gov.au/vqa/accreditation/glossary.asp. The Department of Training and Employment says that "Your prior learning can only be recognised in formal vocational qualifications if your skills and knowledge are current and meet today's industry standards. You must be able to show your skills and have them verified."
At any time you may apply for Recognition of Prior Learning/ Recognition of Current Competency. You may be able to swap between RPL and the course at anytime and you can also choose to accelerate your progress by choosing an assessment only pathway.
